THE HAUNTED HOUSE EVENT
When you wake up today, everything's different. It seems like you're no longer in the complex but in reality, the entire complex has changed. Instead of being a bunch of apartments, now it's turned into a creepy, giant castle-like haunted mansion. The floor boards creek when you walk on them and you could swear someone is behind you, following you. You even hear occasional creeks that you didn't make. An eerie fog has settled over the area, adding to the disturbing feeling.
Through the walls, ceilings, and floors wandering spirits appear to moan and groan. They might be people you used to know and died or just random ghosts. Either way, be careful not to get spotted by them or you'll be haunted all day and night. Zombies are wandering through the halls, some moving ridiculously fast and others dragging their legs slowly. Don't get too close, though. They are actually effected by a virus and you might get infected for a while if you're bitten. Be careful opening the closets too. Seems that vampire bats have taken roost in there and their masters aren't too far away either. Don't mind the howling outside either. That's just the wolves and werewolves making themselves at home.
And of course, that says nothing of the many pranksters roaming the halls, intent on making the most of this holiday. Halloween has indeed arrived and it seems the whole complex has been invited to join in the celebration with most peculiar guests. Vampires, werewolves, zombies and ghosts--oh my! This Halloween is sure to be frightfully interesting. The banshee in the attic that screams at odd intervals isn't helping the situation either. Eerie music waifs through the air but there are other songs playing as well. Who knew there was an actual zombie song? And those statues… You could swear they were moving when you weren't look--ahhh!
[ooc: Bitten, scratched, or phased through most of the effects should end with Halloween night. If the mun desires, though, of course the effects can last longer. Also, if already effected it's possible to reverse said effects for one night as well.]

Luxord's home life is complicated. He tries not to stay in one place too long. His time in the complex is the longest he's ever stayed in one place. He seems to be running from something rather than enjoy living this way.

He brings the plates over to the table, sitting one in front of Luxord and taking a seat accross from him.
no subject
Luxord nods his thanks and picks up his fork when Dilan sets the plate in front of him. He grins at the older male. "If it looks as good as it tastes, I might have to eat my meals with you more often." He jokes, digging in.
no subject
"Anytime, man. Get's kinda boring just cooking for one."
no subject
no subject
"So what have you been up to?"
no subject
He chuckles and shakes his head, continuing on. "This and that. You know how it is, I imagine. What about you? Anything new on your end?"
no subject
"You never mentioned siblings before. Actualy, don't think you've ever mentioned family at all. I was thinking the topic was like, taboo or something."
He pokes at his egg with his fork a moment, thoughtfully. "Eh. Nothing realy. Just trying to get my new man-cave all set up. Need to call the cable guy. I'm missing all the games, man."
no subject
"Man-cave. Lovely name for the place. Sounds so inviting." Luxord teases lightly before sobering a bit. "Need any help there? Other than the cable, of course. Consider it thanks for the meal."
no subject
"It's going to be the ultimate place for a man to crash, watch tv and eat junk food." He grins. "Could use some help just getting some furniture moved around and stuff."
no subject
He grins back. "Ultimate man-cave. Got it." He stands when he's done, clearing his dishes and dropping them in the sink. "Well, when your ready, I'll help you rearrange the furniture of this awesome room of yours."
no subject
He finishes up his breakfast and brings them to the sink to wash them.
"Awesome-in-the-making, more like. I've got a ways to go before it's ultimate man-cave material."
no subject
He watches Xaldin washing dishes. He doesn't bother offering to help this time. He's not fond of dishes. "How about your nephew? Do you see him often?"
Once he's done with dishes, Luxord will stretch a bit. "Awesome-in-making room. Of course, of course. Don't know what I was thinking. Obviously these things take time. I guess I just got my hopes up~" He teases lightly.
no subject
"Nah, I don't really see my sister or her family much. Not that we've got a bad relationship or anything. We just kinda... haven't had the time."
He chuckles as he dries the last plate off and puts it away. "Hey, it's gonna be awesome when I'm done. You just wait and see. I am the king of creating man caves."
no subject
The family topic was interesting but it reminded him of all he missed. He dropped it, choosing another topic instead. "So tell me more about your work. Game design, you said?"
no subject
"Yeah. I'm in the department that comes up with the storylines for the games. And occasionally I get to voice like say, dying soldier number one or something minor like that."
no subject
"Dying soldier one has an incredibly sexy voice then." He says in mock seriousness and then cracks a smile. "But I must say, that is pretty cool mate. You get to come up with all these cool ideas. And then people will be playing the game and suddenly they'll think, 'hey that sounds like that bloke from aisle ten in the market.' Must be a good feeling." He shrugs. He can't imagine, his job isn't glamorous.
