THE HAUNTED HOUSE EVENT

When you wake up today, everything's different. It seems like you're no longer in the complex but in reality, the entire complex has changed. Instead of being a bunch of apartments, now it's turned into a creepy, giant castle-like haunted mansion. The floor boards creek when you walk on them and you could swear someone is behind you, following you. You even hear occasional creeks that you didn't make. An eerie fog has settled over the area, adding to the disturbing feeling.

Through the walls, ceilings, and floors wandering spirits appear to moan and groan. They might be people you used to know and died or just random ghosts. Either way, be careful not to get spotted by them or you'll be haunted all day and night. Zombies are wandering through the halls, some moving ridiculously fast and others dragging their legs slowly. Don't get too close, though. They are actually effected by a virus and you might get infected for a while if you're bitten. Be careful opening the closets too. Seems that vampire bats have taken roost in there and their masters aren't too far away either. Don't mind the howling outside either. That's just the wolves and werewolves making themselves at home.

And of course, that says nothing of the many pranksters roaming the halls, intent on making the most of this holiday. Halloween has indeed arrived and it seems the whole complex has been invited to join in the celebration with most peculiar guests. Vampires, werewolves, zombies and ghosts--oh my! This Halloween is sure to be frightfully interesting. The banshee in the attic that screams at odd intervals isn't helping the situation either. Eerie music waifs through the air but there are other songs playing as well. Who knew there was an actual zombie song? And those statues… You could swear they were moving when you weren't look--ahhh!

[ooc: Bitten, scratched, or phased through most of the effects should end with Halloween night. If the mun desires, though, of course the effects can last longer. Also, if already effected it's possible to reverse said effects for one night as well.]

"Of course, of course~" Luxord laughs in an indulging tone. Honestly, he does like Dilan's appearance but he isn't the type to suddenly confess an attraction for another man.

"My hair, of course. My genuinely blond British hair. You'll never see some American prat with fine golden locks like this." Luxord sips his morning coffee, much more energetic now that he's on his second cup. "Need any help, mate?"

[identity profile] justchillaxbro.livejournal.com 2011-11-02 08:59 am (UTC)(link)
Dilan is living the happy bachelor life right now and hasn't even really thought about more than some casual dating--usualy with girls just because it's easier and doesn't end with him punching someone's teeth out for making a stupid comment about him and his date.

"I kinda meant how is your posterior less British." He shrugs. "And nah, I got it."

[identity profile] gamblecardshark.livejournal.com 2011-11-02 09:05 am (UTC)(link)
"Because, mate, my bum isn't obviously British. My hair can't be anything other than British hair. Obviously, my hair is more British than anything else on my body." Don't try to understand, Dilan. Luxord logic can be hard to understand at times. It might be that he's naturally an airhead or that he's working hard to fake it. It's hard to tell.

Luxord's home life is complicated. He tries not to stay in one place too long. His time in the complex is the longest he's ever stayed in one place. He seems to be running from something rather than enjoy living this way.

[identity profile] justchillaxbro.livejournal.com 2011-11-02 09:07 am (UTC)(link)
"Dude, you are seriously weird."

He brings the plates over to the table, sitting one in front of Luxord and taking a seat accross from him.

[identity profile] gamblecardshark.livejournal.com 2011-11-02 09:13 am (UTC)(link)
"You say this as if it's some new piece of evidence coming to light." He teases lightly. "Or as if it's a bad thing." There's a slight, unnoticeable edge to his last words. Despite his bland appearance, he does sometimes worry what Dilan thinks of him.

Luxord nods his thanks and picks up his fork when Dilan sets the plate in front of him. He grins at the older male. "If it looks as good as it tastes, I might have to eat my meals with you more often." He jokes, digging in.

[identity profile] justchillaxbro.livejournal.com 2011-11-02 09:15 am (UTC)(link)
"Nah, guess you've always been a little weird. Not like I can talk, I guess." He shrugs.

"Anytime, man. Get's kinda boring just cooking for one."

[identity profile] gamblecardshark.livejournal.com 2011-11-02 09:19 am (UTC)(link)
"Mmm." Luxord eats the food happily, enjoying it. It's good, reminding him of better times. He smiles at Xaldin. "Thanks, mate! I'll have to return the favor some time."

[identity profile] justchillaxbro.livejournal.com 2011-11-02 09:21 am (UTC)(link)
"Dude, back in college you once nearly burned down the kitchen trying to cook. Please don't." He teases. Although really the Luxord he knows did nearly do that. Scared the crap out of him.

"So what have you been up to?"

[identity profile] gamblecardshark.livejournal.com 2011-11-02 09:26 am (UTC)(link)
"What are you talking about?" He laughs, forgetting for a moment he's pretending to be someone else for the sake of Dilan's sanity. He lets something slip, not thinking of how it'll affect him. "I'm a great cook. Well, decent enough. Had to be, if I wanted to help Mom with the kids. Ten of us running around was absolute chaos." His Luxord probably didn't have that many siblings. In fact, his Luxord was probably an only child for all he knew.

He chuckles and shakes his head, continuing on. "This and that. You know how it is, I imagine. What about you? Anything new on your end?"

[identity profile] justchillaxbro.livejournal.com 2011-11-02 09:30 am (UTC)(link)
There's a surprised look on his face for a moment.

"You never mentioned siblings before. Actualy, don't think you've ever mentioned family at all. I was thinking the topic was like, taboo or something."

He pokes at his egg with his fork a moment, thoughtfully. "Eh. Nothing realy. Just trying to get my new man-cave all set up. Need to call the cable guy. I'm missing all the games, man."

[identity profile] gamblecardshark.livejournal.com 2011-11-02 09:35 am (UTC)(link)
"Mmm, well, not taboo exactly." The look in his eyes is sad for a moment, incredibly sad. Then he grins, closing his eyes, and the look is gone. "Haven't spoken to them in a long time, mate. Haven't seen them in almost as long. Though, it never really came up in conversations. Family, I mean. Don't remember hearing about yours either."

"Man-cave. Lovely name for the place. Sounds so inviting." Luxord teases lightly before sobering a bit. "Need any help there? Other than the cable, of course. Consider it thanks for the meal."

[identity profile] justchillaxbro.livejournal.com 2011-11-02 09:51 am (UTC)(link)
"Well, my dad's a mechanic and my mom's a housewife." He shrugs. "Not much to say about 'em really. Typical family. Got a younger sister. She's been married going on five years, I think. Has a son. I don't see them much though." He seems thoughtful--trying to think if there's anything he forgot. He doesn't mention his sister is married to a woman. Or that their son is adopted.

"It's going to be the ultimate place for a man to crash, watch tv and eat junk food." He grins. "Could use some help just getting some furniture moved around and stuff."

[identity profile] gamblecardshark.livejournal.com 2011-11-02 09:58 am (UTC)(link)
"Your dad's a mechanic?" He seems to perk up a little bit, interested. "Did you spend at lot of time helping him out? Is he good at it?" He doesn't really comment on the rest of his family except to mention one thing. "I can see you as an uncle. You'd probably have fun telling the lad scary stories."

He grins back. "Ultimate man-cave. Got it." He stands when he's done, clearing his dishes and dropping them in the sink. "Well, when your ready, I'll help you rearrange the furniture of this awesome room of yours."

[identity profile] justchillaxbro.livejournal.com 2011-11-03 10:01 pm (UTC)(link)
"Yeah. I learned a lot about cars from him. Thought about going into mechanics for a while myself. Decided I wanted to do something else though and went the route of game design."

He finishes up his breakfast and brings them to the sink to wash them.

"Awesome-in-the-making, more like. I've got a ways to go before it's ultimate man-cave material."

[identity profile] gamblecardshark.livejournal.com 2011-11-03 11:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Luxord smiles albeit a bit sadly. "Must have been nice. I can't imagine having a close relationship like that."

He watches Xaldin washing dishes. He doesn't bother offering to help this time. He's not fond of dishes. "How about your nephew? Do you see him often?"

Once he's done with dishes, Luxord will stretch a bit. "Awesome-in-making room. Of course, of course. Don't know what I was thinking. Obviously these things take time. I guess I just got my hopes up~" He teases lightly.

[identity profile] justchillaxbro.livejournal.com 2011-11-05 10:36 pm (UTC)(link)
He senses the father thing is a sensitive topic and gives a shrug, deciding to let it drop there and focus on other stuff.

"Nah, I don't really see my sister or her family much. Not that we've got a bad relationship or anything. We just kinda... haven't had the time."

He chuckles as he dries the last plate off and puts it away. "Hey, it's gonna be awesome when I'm done. You just wait and see. I am the king of creating man caves."

[identity profile] gamblecardshark.livejournal.com 2011-11-06 07:11 am (UTC)(link)
"King of creating man caves? Rather wordy title you have there, mate. Mind if I shorten for you? Like, King of Awesomeness or Duke of Mancaves?" He teases. He likes being around Dilan, even if it is a bit weird that he's not Xaldin. There are some noticeable differences in the two. Dilan laughs and jokes more, which is nicer. Xaldin was always so serious.

The family topic was interesting but it reminded him of all he missed. He dropped it, choosing another topic instead. "So tell me more about your work. Game design, you said?"

[identity profile] justchillaxbro.livejournal.com 2011-11-12 08:02 am (UTC)(link)
Dilan has lead an incredibly different life from the Xaldin Luxord knows. "We'll compromise. King of Mancaves."

"Yeah. I'm in the department that comes up with the storylines for the games. And occasionally I get to voice like say, dying soldier number one or something minor like that."

[identity profile] gamblecardshark.livejournal.com 2011-11-12 09:22 am (UTC)(link)
"King of Mancaves it is. Well, let's see this work in process you were making, mate."

"Dying soldier one has an incredibly sexy voice then." He says in mock seriousness and then cracks a smile. "But I must say, that is pretty cool mate. You get to come up with all these cool ideas. And then people will be playing the game and suddenly they'll think, 'hey that sounds like that bloke from aisle ten in the market.' Must be a good feeling." He shrugs. He can't imagine, his job isn't glamorous.
